Ralf is shown to have green eyes and short brown hair with sideburns. His outfit consists of a blue coat, a white shirt with matching cravat, black breeches and a pair of white boots.

In the English dub, Ralf is shown to be soft-spoken even when in Gear Fighting.
Plot[]
Ralf makes his first appearance in episode 42 where he and Alberto are encountered by Lan Fang and Kyousuke at a corridor. On the day before the match, Lan Fang bumps into Alberto and unintentionally stains his cravat when she attempts to run away from Kyousuke. The Gear Master confronts Ralf and Alberto after seeing the latter slapping Lan Fang and makes her fall down. Both the Weiss Ritters members refuse to apologize to Lan Fang even though Kyousuke repeatedly demands them to do so. Later, Ralf makes a deal with Kyousuke that they will do as the Gear Master told if they lose the upcoming match against the Tobita Club.
In the said match during the first stage of the World Cup, Ralf encounters Kyousuke and Kuroudo along with Alberto. At first the two Weiss Ritters members gain the advantage in the Gear Fight due to their cooperation, but they eventually lose the match after Kuroudo and Kyousuke change their strategy.
